You might want to look at the action script reference and guide on Macromedia's site, it has a lot of good info on integrating Flash and web applications. One way is to have your servlets (or Struts application) return xml and process that inside of your flash movie.
If you don't want to go to that extreme, you can just include your flash movies in the JSP pages that Struts returns.
