You will see the same session ID for two browser windows if you 'clone' the browser window with CTRL+N (in IE). To get a separate session ID you need to start two instances of the browser, not clone the existing window.

If you are using the same browser (opening 2 versions of IE, Netscape...),
they could be sharing cookies, and thus the same session.
