So what you guys are saying is that it won't work
without the action class? instead of *.do, can I just
put *.* or *.jsp ?

i.e.
<!-- Action Servlet Mapping -->
  <servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name>action</servlet-name>
    <url-pattern>*.*</url-pattern>
  </servlet-mapping>

I'm trying to see if I can do this(*.do) without any
action classes.

many thanks!
