plz make that her ;) well, thankyou very much for the links, rajan ... !! as for my background .. i have recently completed my MS in computer engineering .. prior to tht, i was working for a year on mainframes and during my masters i was a C-consultant and grader for around 2 years .. i have also done my masters project in Servlets and XML (but since most of the code i used was from a book, i did never get to learn the stuff by trial-and-error, wherein you really get to "learn") ... as for Java .. i have read a few tutorials etc, and i am conversant with the object oriented basics .. but really dont have much confidence, since i havent had any coding experience as such .. and well, i do think i am intelligent enough to pick up things in a short time ... :-) but the question is "where do i start from !!" .. regards, Reshma and thankyou everybody for replying to my email !! :-) this group seems to be pretty active .. What you should start with depends upon your background. I will assume you are rational and intelligent, unlike some might. Have you coded with ASP? Where are you in terms of your knowledge of web coding generally. Since you seem to have obtained a job, I assume you have some considerable experience.
