I'm pretty sure it can work with the .war files but I haven't used
JDeveloper enough at work to know how to do it with the .ear or
.war files. (Side note...I can't believe JDeveloper ranks so high
as a good IDE... I really hate it. A good IDE in my opinion needs
to at least have an excellent editor which JDeveloper doesn't.
JEdit (free) blows the bulky JDeveloper away as far as having a
powerful editor) But I digress:).... Why don't you just extract
the war file out into a directory and then set up a project with
those files and you should be fine. (I say should be because I
really haven't done it under JDeveloper..although I have all the
struts apps running fine under the OC4j container which I believe
JDeveloper uses.
