How sturts open a new window page ?

Hi All:
I wonder how struts process opener page,for example :
when I submit <input type="submit" name="EDIT">
I want actionservlet can open a new window but not this window to process actions.
How can struts do it ? 
Or I need to use the old way that by javascript ?
