Hi Rene, Instead of using <html:link> tag, <A> href="Get your stored link from database using bean"</A> can be used to avoid scriplet.
For example: If name of the bean is 'MyBean' and property is 'url'. Following lines in the jsp page will do the job. <A href=<bean:write name="MyBean" property="url"/>> <img border="0" src="help.gif"> </A> Image can be added as well, for nice look and feel.
