Hmmmm..

I personally think that open-source software suffers when we treat people impolitely.
And please note to all involved that I am talking generally here. I have strongly
supported open-source software in some big companies for many years, yet still have
managed to get my picture on some fat idiot's "hall of shame" web site, because he
thought my question was stupid.

I think you have to give people the benefit of the doubt. They may have dug through
mountains of (often incomplete and poorly written) documentation, and just got
confused. Their question may well be a cry for help and a "where the hell do I
start!!",
or even "please - how would you experts do this - what's the BEST way". I often do
this - I'm looking for the best practice!

Lets be nice out there!!!
