I will respond to my own question here, as it appears there is no single resource listing the versions of what libraries are used with Struts 1.1B2. Some of this information is can be derived under "Prerequisite Software" at:
http://jakarta.apache.org/struts/userGuide/installation.html#Installing Basically, I compared the .jar files that came with the 1.1B2 distribution to the .jar files on the various Jakarta Commons websites: 1) commons-beanutils.jar -- Struts uses version 1.4 (latest version is 1.4.1) 2) commons-collections.jar -- NOT SURE. The Struts version does not appear to correspond to version 1.0 or version 2.0 of the collections library. The Struts version is much larger than 2.0. Maybe it's a development version of the next version - 3.0? 3) commons-dbcp.jar -- Struts uses version 1.0 (latest version is 1.0) 4) commons-digester.jar -- Struts uses version 1.3 (latest version is 1.3) 5) commons-fileupload.jar -- NOT SURE. This is from the Sandbox project which is documented a little differently than the Jakarta Commons. The latest version is 1.0 beta 8. Apparently, the Sandbox projects will be migrated to Jakarta Commons before the final release of Struts 1.1. 6) commons-lang.jar -- Struts uses version 1.0 (latest version 1.0 beta 1) 7) commons-logging.jar -- Struts 1.1 B2 comes with version 1.0. However, version 1.0.1 is required for a bug fix (latest verion is 1.0.2). 8) commons-pool.jar -- version 1.0.1 (latest version is 1.0.1) 9) commons-resources.jar -- NOT SURE. This also from the Sandbox project (version 1.0 beta 8 is the latest) 10) commons-services.jar -- NOT SURE. I couldn't even find this project under Jakarta Commons or Sandbox.
