Select boxes with multiple = true

Does anyone have an ideas as to the method for setting values in a multiple select list?

I have select lists, populating onto the page from EJBs. I have a seperate EJB Value bean which contains the specific values required for that instance. Can I set these values to be selected on intiliaization?
