To my knowledge the only update so far is the addition of one paragraph
providing additional information about how to install the cygwin telnet and
ftp utilities. This is in a section on understanding low-level http
communications, the request/response cycle and how sessions are tracked
using cookies. (All background stuff - nothing Struts related.) Everything
works correctly - I just didn't realize that the cygwin 'telnet' utility
doesn't get installed by default if you have cygwin (you have to
specifically ask for inet utilities during the cygwin install).

This information will also be on the companion site -
http://www.strutskickstart.com (which James just moved to Moveable Type
yesterday so we can update it more frequently...).

In other words, there seem to be very few updates (he said keeping fingers
crossed). Our technical editors were pretty thorough.

This second printing is really just because we've outsold their forecasts.
I'd like to say it's because we did such a great job, but I think it's at
least as much due to the fact that the growth of Struts is far beyond what
the big publishers ever anticipated. This, of course, is because the
developers have done such a great job!

That being said, I am considering asking to add an appendix containing
Struts-related poetry... ;-)

Subject: [REQUEST] Corrections for "Struts Kick Start"

Kevin and I have been informed that "Struts Kick Start" will be going
into a second printing in February, and because of the just-in-time
printing method that SAMS uses, we have an opportunity to make
corrections. So, if you've come across typos, errors or general
unclearness in the text, please let us know so that we can get the fixes
into the second printing.

Unfortunately, what we can change is limited by the desire not to
heavily repaginate, so "A chapter on Struts-EL" is the kind of request
that falls outside the scope of what we can get done.

James
