This question is probably better suited for whatever site the book has setup for support. However great Ted's book may be, not everyone has a copy :-).

In Listing 1.2 on page 20 in the book, RegisterAction.java has a line of source code that reads:

UserDirectory.getInstance().setUser(user,password1);

My question is: What is UserDirectory, and what does that line do? I cannot find anything about UserDirectory in any Java API.
