So you are saying a field with 'isActive' of type boolean (or
whatever the database can handle as a boolean) and keep the roles
seperate.  I figured this would be good to preserve the state of the
user as well.  It is like the difference between power and volume I
think.  If you turn off the power, it saves the state of the volume
(except for turny knobs) and when you turn it back on you are where
you left off.
