Not a very good reason for not choosing to learn .NET
its mainly a business decision as the majority of clients I have and new requests coming in are stating that they do not wish to use MS technology, this has increased in the last year. Also, as whichever way I chose meant learning something new, moving to Java simply appealed more than to .NET (and I've had experience of both now and think I made the right choice .. for me anyway)
not wanting to start an OS war ;) I have Solaris, Linux and Windows boxes here and they all have their uses ...
