You are correct. The servlet exception is wrapping a JSPException (which is coming from the struts bean define tag).
If stuts cannot find a declared exception handler for the root cause, shouldn't the ServletException still be handled by the declared exception handler for the ServletException? Does the servletexception wrapp another exception which may be from your tag? -----Original Message----- From: White, Joshua A (HTSC, CASD) [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, July 10, 2003 10:25 AM To: 'Struts Users Mailing List' Subject: Unable to catch ServletException I have a struts tag which is throwing a servletexception. I have tried to catch this exception by defining it as a global exception and waiting for it to bubble up but the jsp page prints the stack trace to the screen regardless. Any ideas?
