I have set up a global error handler in my web xml file which should capture ServletExceptions.
When a struts tag throws an exception, it seems to be ignored. The following output appear on the page: [ServletException in:/WEB-INF/jsp/formLogin.jsp] Cannot find message resources under key org.apache.struts.action.MESSAGE' I have not looked at the code for this tag myself, but it looks like the tag is catching the error itself and then writing this message to output stream.
