Thats if your using cookies.
I think Prashanth is using url encoding here which keeps the session id
number as part of the url itself. (And means its also copied)
ie:
http://localhost:8080/dashboard/frames.do;jsessionid=97EEC027D9A3937E76C045B

If I'm not mistaken yahoo uses cookies as well to store your user
information. Therfore copying just the URL will not work.

Also using the <CTRL-N> thing is dependant upon the browser you use. I think
