I use Jmeter for this. Works very nicely. Assuming your application is easily scriptable, you can record a series of actions (via the built in proxy) and replay them in a very short time. It is much easier to use than QA load and about as easy to use as M$ webcat. It is, however about as flexible as QALoad and about much more flexible than M$ webcat.
