If you can simply switch "nested" for "html" or "logic", then the markup isn't specifically made for the nested tags. ie: you've probably used the "name" attribute etc which the nested tags don't need.
If you're able to use "html" or "logic", then you may as well use the original tags. If you want to take advantage of the nested tags, you'll have to look at their specific needs in the documentation, or the tutorials at http://keyboardmonkey.com/next All the best.
