The market for Generic
Access is large and
growing fast.The emergence
of V5 and the increasing
volume of sales indicate that
this is true for access to
switched services (POTS and
ISDN). Generic Access is
defined as access solutions
that are independent of the
vendor of the service node (the
POST/ISDN exchange, the
frame relay switch, the IP
router.....).
The main product in this
area is the Access 300 Node
series.
The Access 300 System
Series includes a full range of
multiplexer products (Diamux),
each capable of meeting the
demanding requirements of a
modern access network.
Diamux is based on a
modular system structure
called the Generic System
Platform (GSP) which allows
for great flexibility both
regarding deployment of the
Diamux today and also
regarding future
enhancements and upgrades.
TODAY the Access 300
Nodes offer full V5.1 and V5.2
capabilities and are Q1 98
approved by more than 25
operators with NEC, Fujitsu,
EWSD, Lucent, Alcatel, AXE
exchanges.
Diamux CAN be connected to
AXE as well as any other
switch, using standardised
interfaces (e.g. V5.2 wire
analogue etc...)
Diamux delivers POTS, ISDN
and Data as well as numerous
other types of services and
interfaces.
