I'm not prepared to handle all of the bugs that could be potentially introduced even if it was a simple search and replace operation.
I believe that it will be sufficient to make sure that the distinction is made obvious early in the documentation. We deal with crufty terminology all the time in other software systems (frames vs. windows in emacs for instance).
