Solved. Thank you. I assumed since I was enabling two factor on the gmail account and then creating an app password that that app password was like a second password. I tested just swapping the account password out with the app password and it worked right away. I don't really see how it's more secure, but whatever. It works. It's not like it's Fort Knox security sensitive information.
