FCC Wants Radio to Archive Broadcasts But That's Only The Start of Radio's Problems
On July 7th, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) proposed regulations that
would require television and radio broadcasters to keep recordings of their
programming for up to three months from the original air date.

The new rules would be used to aid investigations of indecency complaints, as they
would require broadcasters to keep recordings of their content from 6 A.M. to 10 P.M.

NAD PowerDrive - So smart, it knows what your speakers are thinking
They say that knowledge is power. So when it comes to reacting to the constantly
fluctuating power needs of today's loudspeakers, an A/V receiver has to be very smart
indeed. Most A/V receivers fail the test and you hear distortion. NAD's dual-rail
power supply knows when your speakers need extra help to deliver clean, undistorted
-sound. The result is honor roll performance for your movies and music. Visit your
nearest NAD dealer or do your homework at http://www.avrev.com/splashpage/nad.html

Featured DVD-A Music Review
Styx - Cyclorama
When bands that are staples of classic 70s rock radio make albums in the year 2004,
its very hard to listen objectively. Most people, myself included, know Styx best
from their epic hit song Come Sail Away and a few other radio hits, including
Fooling Yourself and Mr. Robato. Their progressive sound, with thick-layered
vocals and grandiose piano parts, is still intact many years later on their latest
album Cyclorama. The first Styx album since their 1999 album Brave New World,
Cyclorama has been remixed for 5.1 DVD-Audio and re-released by Silverline. I didnt
expect to hear any songs that are going to get lumped into the classic Styx set list
of hits, but I was curious to see, so many years after their prime, if Tommy Shaw
and the rest of Styx could muster a sound that is reminiscent of their heyday yet at
the same time updated.

Featured DVD-Video Review
Queensryche: The Art of Live
Where do I start? This DVD blew me away! I personally lost track of Queensryche after
Hear in the Now Frontier, so I really didnt know what to expect from this release.
But soon after opening the package I saw Sign of the Times from Hear in the Now
Frontier, the Pink Floyd classic Comfortably Numb and The Whos Wont Get Fooled
Again in the song list, so I knew that there were some songs that I at least knew
about. I figured what the hell, lets put this baby on Let me put it this way, get
ready for some of the most intricate, intense and technically challenging progressive
metal youll hear this year. Not only havent Queensryche lost a step, theyve pushed
themselves into the category where only the most adventuresome musicians reside.
Unbelievable was my first reaction, simply unbelievable.
