AVRev.com Lead Story
Missing For 12 Years - The Perfect Album

I recently took a trip to my old favorite record store, Aarons Records, on Highland
Avenue in Hollywood. It is a truly great record store, loaded with import CDs, used
CDs, vinyl (for those who dig that) and is still to this day staffed with people who
truly love music. Take any one of Aarons staff, name a record you like and the
Aarons employee can give you five good recommendations of other artists or recordings
you might like. Websites like Amazon try to do this but somehow just fall short. Big
record chains simply dont care about anything other than taking orders for CDs and
DVDs you already knew you wanted before you walked in the door.

The Reference3 Speaks For Itself
"... Not since the Vandersteen 2 has a loudspeaker come on to the audio scene with
such assuredness of success. Not since the Vandy has a speaker so outpaced the
competition in terms of quality and value at its price point as has this Gallo
loudspeaker." Martin DeWolf - Bound For Sound

"... This speaker combines so much unconventional thinking, novel applications and
build quality in such a balanced, physically compact but sonically gargantuan and
full-range design, and for such an exceedingly fair price that some drastic measure of
formal recognition was required to truly separate it out from the crowds that make up
the $3,000 - $10,000 floorstanding speaker field." Srajan Ebaen - sixmoons.com

Transparent:
Have you seen your video system?
Youve already invested thousands in video components, but unless you use cables that
match their performance youre throwing high definition down the drain. Video cables
must be engineered to transmit delicate signals over long distances without signal
loss, impedance distortions, or noise interference. Everything from the connector to
the thickness of the dielectric insulation makes a noticeable difference in
performance.

AVRev.com Music Reviews

Gov't Mule - Deja Voodoo CD
Govt Mule had been in a state of flux ever since Allen Woody died in August of 2000.
Over these last four years, Govt Mule has played with just about every great bassist
under the sun; Tony Levin, Chris Squire, Jack Bruce, Jack Cassidy, Alphonzo Johnson,
Les Claypool, John Entwistle you get the idea. Even going on tour, they were
traveling with several bass players at a time. Even with all that, the albums and
tours produced over the last four years have been simply magnificent. The previously
mentioned albums: Deep End Volumes 1 & 2, have all the previously-mentioned bass
players, as well as about a dozen others. Mike Gordon of Phish (who plays on Vol. 1)
also produced and directed an excellent documentary, Rising Low, of those recording
sessions, where you really get an insight into how this group of musicians works. So
what about their new album, Deja Voodoo?
