Revolution Home Theater Film Review
The Forgotten Reviewed by Bill Warren
Rating: Three-and-a-Half Stars

The Forgotten has as its theme the power of memory and of a mothers love. This
theme could have been expressed in many ways, of course, but the filmmakers have
chosen one of the most unusualeven improbable. The result is that the handsome (if
too dark) movie hovers uncertainly between being remarkably good and being a total
crock. Explaining just how it does this would require revealing far too many
spoilers; lets just say the story is a peculiar amalgam of an urban New York drama,
The X-Files and Signs.

It seems clearly one kind of movie for the first third, but turns into something else.
When Julianne Moore suddenly realizes whats really going on and suggests this idea
to Dominic West, his response Im having a National Enquirer moment rings truemany
in the audience will feel the same way.

Evolution Audio & Video is proud to announce the arrival of the Benchmark
of rear-screen DLP HDTV monitors, the Loewe Articos 55.

This is a masterpiece of German engineering. Using on-screen graphics, Zeiss
Lenses/Light path (designed by Carl Zeiss himself), inputs specifically tuned to
enhance each component, and construction that rivals the finest automobiles.
(Considering that the unit is actually painted at the BMWfactory!) The good news is
that Loewe (pronounced Luu-va) has just lowered the price by $1,500! Give us a call
before these guys wake-up and realize what theyve done!

Aperion Power Towers Win CNET Editor's Choice Award

CNET's Steve Guttenberg said it best in his recent review... "Aperion's engineers
perfected their satellite/subwoofer system years ago, and now with the new Intimus
522D-PT, they've set their sights on something bigger: a powered tower. Say what? The
tower features a built-in 150-watt amplifier for its 8-inch woofer, effectively
lightening the load on your receiver. The result is a big-speaker sound that rivals
that of high-end speakers costing double the 522D-PT's $599 ($1,198 a pair)
factory-direct price.

Laws of Attraction

Laws of Attraction is a romantic comedy that feels like it could have been made at
almost any time in the last 35 years (once unmarried couples were allowed to have sex
without one of the pair getting hit by a bus shortly thereafter). Its agreeable in
its ultra-fluffy way, though its yet another example of the genre in which a man
slightly flawed but basically reasonable puts up with behavior from a gorgeous woman
that charms him more than it will most viewers.

Julianne Moore plays Audrey Woods, a Manhattan divorce attorney who is great at her
job but lousy at life. Despite the fact that shes played by the gorgeous Moore,
Audrey has no love life and is almost fanatically opposed to dating. She comes up
against fellow divorce lawyer, Irish transplant Daniel Rafferty (Pierce Brosnan), who
is underhanded (but no more than Audrey) in some of his information gathering tactics.

Boogie Nights

If you start out with your sound system cranked to a decent level, 'Boogie Nights'
will give you a jolt the instant the opening titles start. Something that's a taste of
what's to come--if you came of age in the '70s, the soundtrack is wall-to-wall
nostalgia.

Writer/director Paul Thomas Anderson has created a kind of intimate epic with 'Boogie
Nights.' It's an oddly endearing and nonjudgmental comedy/drama set in the L.A. porno
film industry of the mid-'70s and early '80s; a soap opera that is alternately funny
and sad about an extended family-by-choice of skin flick makers and stars. Their
biggest collective sin, in the film's view, may be their chronic inability to
comprehend how the world works behond the boundaries of their specialized industry.

Mark Wahlberg stars as Eddie Adams, a 17-year-old who is welcomed into the hetero
division of the adult film industry by director/producer Jack Horner (Burt Reynolds).

NAD PowerDrive - So smart, it knows what your speakers are thinking

They say that knowledge is power. So when it comes to reacting to the constantly
fluctuating power needs of today's loudspeakers, an A/V receiver has to be very smart
indeed. Most A/V receivers fail the test and you hear distortion. NAD's dual-rail
power supply knows when your speakers need extra help to deliver clean, undistorted
sound. The result is honor roll performance for your movies and music.
