Building Your Dream Theater:
Step 1 - Assembling Your Team

Creating a topnotch home theater is a major undertaking. Getting your media
room to look like the ones that grace the pages of Revolution Home Theater take
many resources beyond money. Turning your dream system into a dreamy reality
can involve designers and experts of all sorts. As a practicing attorney in
California, I want to show you some of the best ways to protect your interests
as the client when building a custom home theater.

Hiring Top Professionals
Whether you are installing your top of the line components in a custom house, a
partial remodel/addition or simply going to convert an unused room to a home
theater, you need to hire the right professionals to get the job done. Who to
hire and how you check on them is critically important. The old adage an ounce
of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure is especially true with
construction projects. Proper planning will avoid heaps of trouble during
construction and after completion.

Revolution Home Theater Feature Film Reviews

Kingdom of Heaven
Reviewed By Bill Warren
Rating: Four stars

Its not surprising that the best ancient-epic movie since Gladiator is
directed by the same man, Ridley Scott. He treats the material with seriousness
but not solemnity, he chooses stories with epic sweep, human tales that are
told through action as well as dialog. Like the makers of King Arthur, Troy
and even Alexander, he fills the screen with enormous scenes of hundreds,
here even thousands, of warriors in battle. In Gladiator, the theme was
honor, a very Roman trait; here it is redemption, which should be part of any
tale of the Crusades.

That heroically, epically misbegotten enterprise was the efforts of the
Christian nobility of Europe trying to thrown heathens (Muslims, principally
Saracens) out of the city of Jerusalem, a section of landscape with the
misfortune to be holy to three religions: Christianity, Judaism and Muslim. For
three hundred years, knights and their vassals left Europe for the Middle East
hoping to win the land for their Godand largely to make themselves rich in the
process. They were finally reduced to limping back to Europe to lick their
wounds.

Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring

Moderation is usually a good thing, but once in awhile, more really is more.
The release of the special extended edition of Lord of the Rings: The
Fellowship of the Ring is one of those occasions. A brilliant, epic movie has
had approximately half an hour of footage restored to it for this new
four-disc, boxed set DVD release and the result is a film that is even more
engrossing, impressive and generally awe-inspiring than the theatrical version,
no small feat.

By now, its hard to imagine that anybody hasnt heard about director/co-writer
Peter Jacksons astonishing accomplishment in tackling J.R.R. Tolkiens The
Lord of the Rings trilogy. However, should you be among the uninitiated,
heres the low-down: The Lord of the Rings takes place in Middle Earth...

Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers is the middle film in the cinematic
trilogy based on J.R.R. Tolkiens epic fantasy about a war for control of a
long-ago realm known as Middle Earth, with good humans, elves, dwarves and
hobbits on one side and evil wizards, orcs and other nightmarish beings on the
other. The miracle of Tolkiens books was that they managed to distill epic
folklore tradition into a particular kind of high fantasy that has transformed
an entire genre of fiction that followed. While the filmic adaptations may not
have quite such sweeping consequences, they have unquestionably raised the bar
for epic and/or fantasy filmmaking. Director/co-screenwriter Peter Jackson
brought forth the opening installment, Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of
the Ring in 2001, and it was widely and justly acclaimed as one of the best
films ever made in any genre.
