Audio Video Education on RHT:
Organizing Your Music On a Server

If you dont yet have an iPod and are feeling a bit like an outsider, have no
fear. Creating an archive of your CD collection and putting it on your computer
and/or iPod can be very simple and could potentially save your collection of
music in the event of a disaster. Another advantage in taking on the project of
archiving your music is that by physically ripping all of your discs, you will
find that you are reintroduce yourself to music you know and love but had
forgotten you own. It is likely that you will even head out to the record store
or iTunes to buy even more music to round out your collection.

An Old Argument Mac or PC
Apples newfound dominance and ultra-easy-to-use interface gives them a head
start as the best vehicle for archiving and managing your music. Factor in the
plug and play ease of use of the iPod and the simple integration of buying
music through iTunes and you can see why over five million people bought iPods
in the fourth quarter of 2004 alone. With an iMac and a few accessories, you
can have an entire computer that can host your music collection for well under
$1,000. I highly recommend that you archive your music on to some sort of
external drive. I prefer Lacie Firewire drives. For around $200, you can have
250 gigabytes of storage (or a few thousand songs) on one single drive.

Revolution Home Theater Feature Film Reviews

Kicking & Screaming
Reviewed By Bill Warren
Rating: Three and a half stars

Will Ferrell looks like hes lining up for a better movie career than most
graduates of the Saturday Night Live training school. Many of those from the
later seasons of the show who transferred to movies were best known for a few
very specific characters on SNL; Ferrell was more of a generalist, which is
serving him very well so far. Kicking & Screaming isnt a great comedyit was
never intended to bebut its a lot of fun in an easy-going way. You wont
remember it very long after seeing it, but its fun while it lasts.

Ferrells Phil Weston has spent a lifetime never measuring upat least in
athletic activitiesto the tough standards set by his highly competitive father
Buck (Robert Duvall). Buck stomps all over his son, and is always ready with a
snide wisecrack about Phils shortcomings.

After Buck says he hasnt been the same since Phils mother died, Phil wearily
reminds his father that shes not deadshe simply divorced him. Buck gets
married again and both men have sons born on the same daybut, as Buck points
out, his son Bucky is a little bigger than Phils son Sam.

Zoolander

Most movies made from TV comedy sketches turn out to be mildly amusing at best
and painful at worst. Somehow, "Zoolander" escapes this curse with surprising
zest. Director/co-scripter/star Ben Stiller has a clear handle on the material,
an ear for the absurd and an unexpected sweetness that make his film a lot of
fun.

Stillers Derek Zoolander is a top male model who may not be the hottest
commodity in town just now that would be his competition, Hansel (Owen
Wilson) but he certainly takes the prize as the dumbest bunny in the hutch.
Dereks dimness is precisely why hes hired by evil designer Mogatu (Will
Ferrell). Mogatu and his sweatshop-owner cronies have hatched a nefarious
scheme to brainwash Derek into assassinating the childrens rights-promoting
Prime Minister of Malaysia at an upcoming fashion show.

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back

"Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back" proves Kevin Smith has got his finger on the
pulse of his audience. Although his humor is crude and often offensive in this
movie, as in other movies, Smith plays to his audience, inundating them with
the things they took their seats in the theater to see. At the same time, Smith
takes shots at people, corporations and entities that think too highly of
themselves. He also ladles in a healthy serving of social commentary along the
way, which is not entirely the plan but does come through in the writing.

Jay and Silent Bob are two characters Smith has worked with and around for
years. In addition to being movie characters, theyve also been featured in
comics. As all good epic storytellers must, Smith has created a world large
enough to spin out several stories while keeping familiar touchstones that make
return viewers feel instantly at home.

Your System Will Sound Like It Does at Midnight, 24/7

A recent test report on the PurePower 1050 began by reminding audiophiles that
their systems have always sounded their best at midnight. Why? At that hour,
the local power utility is delivering its cleanest, most accurate power. At
midnight, the current flows and system dynamics can be reached that at other
hours of the day are impossible. Until now.

PurePower is the first and only power conditioner in the world that takes the
inbound AC power from the utility, converts it to DC, then back to perfect
voltage sinewave with no noise, distortion, spikes, or sags, even if the
inbound voltage is ZERO. Its built-in batteries protect and isolate your system
from the local utility in a way that no other conditioner can, giving you that
midnight sound quality every time you listen, regardless of the time of day.
