Sony Qualia 004 SXRD Projector Reviewed

Years ago when AVR video reviewer, Mike Levy, was the head technician at
Vidikron he worked with clients and dealers looking to get the best video
picture for home theaters all over the world. Up until recently that meant some
sort of dual nine inch CRT projector rig with a powerful video processor and
included a price tag of over $150,000.

Sony's new Qualia 004 video projector smashes all of those archaic price
barriers with a new technology in a $30,000 video projector that is good enough
to challenge for the crown of "best video available in the world" at a fraction
of the price of what state of the art used to cost. If you want the best in
HDTV today and the power to make a picture that can hang with any and all of
the future video formats that are coming - the Qualia 004 is for you.

Revolution Home Theater Feature Film Reviews

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith
Reviewed By Abbie Bernstein
Rating: Four and a half stars

Remember all the anticipation that greeted Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom
Menace? The feeling most Star Wars fans were hoping to have at the time (a
few, bless their hearts, loved Phantom unreservedly either for its virtues
or, Mt. Everest-style, because it was there) is finally engendered with Star
Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, which succeeds at tying most of the
Star Wars mythology together in a manner that is both resonant and kick-ass.
Writer/director/producer George Lucas has succeeded in creating something that
genuinely feels epic, as opposed to just expensive and popular.

In case you have somehow missed the Star Wars saga so far in which case,
you may want to brush up on the last three decades of Western culture, because
otherwise its been pretty hard to avoid Revenge fills in the events that
set the stage for 1977s Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope (thats the one
commonly called plain old Star Wars or the first one by most folks), 1980s
Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back and especially Star Wars:
Episode VI Return of the Jedi. We know that Anakin Skywalker, who weve seen
grow from a cute little boy (Jake Lloyd) in Phantom Menace to a
well-intentioned and fervent but also deeply troubled young man (Hayden
Christensen in Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones and the new
film), will become the formidably evil Darth Vader, but not before fathering
the first trilogys heroes Luke Skywalker (played by Mark Hamill in Episodes
IV-VI) and Princess Leia (played by Carrie Fisher in IV-VI). We also know th
at the Galactic Senate will be disbanded in favor of a fascist Empire, headed
by Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid), who is secretly a Dark Lord of the Sith, and that
wise and noble Jedi knights will largely be exterminated.

Anthony Gallo Acoustics
The Reference3 Speaks For Itself

"... Not since the Vandersteen 2 has a loudspeaker come on to the audio scene
with such assuredness of success. Not since the Vandy has a speaker so outpaced
the competition in terms of quality and value at its price point as has this
Gallo loudspeaker." Martin DeWolf - Bound For Sound

"... This speaker combines so much unconventional thinking, novel applications
and build quality in such a balanced, physically compact but sonically
gargantuan and full-range design, and for such an exceedingly fair price that
some drastic measure of formal recognition was required to truly separate it
out from the crowds that make up the $3,000 - $10,000 floorstanding speaker
field." Srajan Ebaen - sixmoons.com

Introducing the completely redesigned RBH MC Series Mark II

Designed for both audio and home theater enthusiasts, the MC Series features
RBH's proprietary aluminum cone technology; the same technology in their
flagship products. Because of the inherent stiffness, low mass and self-damping
properties found in aluminum, these advanced drivers deliver crisp, clear sound
with the immediacy and accuracy needed to deliver the realism of today's
high-definition music and movies.

Computer optimized crossover networks allow smooth integration between drivers
while increasing power handling and minimizing distortion.

Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace

Digital special effects seem to advance with the speed of spaceships in
hyperdrive. No sooner have we marveled at one breathtaking technological
achievement than another whooshes past, taking the lead. This thought may occur
to viewers of "Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace," now on DVD
two-and-a-half years after its theatrical release.

When "Phantom Menace" first opened, its technical craftsmanship was a complete
blast. Its still excellent, and the fact is that if the computer mages at ILM
hadnt done their stuff, what came after would be impossible, but it tends to
stand out just a little less these days. The trouble is that, especially on a
repeat viewing, once youve adjusted to the fabulous imagery and terrific
directional sound, things like lackluster dialogue become more noticeable.

Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones

Star Wars is arguably the largest science fiction franchise in the history of
filmmaking. The initial three offerings ignited a whole world of dreamers who
went to sleep at night reaching out for lightsabers and longing to be one with
the Force. Back in 1977, most viewers had lost touch with
the Joseph Campbell views of the quintessential hero in his marvelous book,
The Hero with a Thousand Faces, and the 12-step outline of a world myth.
Todays audiences are more jaundiced, more in step with how such stories are
presented.

Perhaps that intimate grasp of story structure and the place of the hero are to
blame for George Lucas latest trilogy not quite catching on the way first
trilogy (Episodes 4, 5, and 6) did. Star Wars: Episode VI -- Return of the
Jedi was released in 1983. Sixteen years later, in 1999, Lucas gave his
audience Star Wars: Episode I -- The Phantom Menace.
