Triad In-Room Silver Speaker System Reviewed

Triad Speakers have been around for more than 24 years, yet many consumers are
just starting to hear about the brand as they are primarily marketed to the
custom installation market. Triad speakers are quite unique. Unlike almost all
other major speaker manufacturers, Triad produces custom installed speakers
that are indeed truly custom. Need a narrow center speaker? They can make it
for you. Need bi-pole rear speakers painted in sea foam green to match the Dunn
Edwards paint being used in the room? They can do it. Refreshingly, nearly
every speaker they produce is made to order within 72 hours of when the order
is placed.

Here's the basic idea behind Triad's lines of speakers. The designs are
application driven, with as many as four configurations of each model, for
specific installation applications without compromise. Versions typically
consist of an InRoom and at least one InWall version, with some having OnWall
and InCeiling versions which provide nearly identical performance. If none of
these will work in a given situation, Triad will work with its
installer/dealers to come up with a custom fix.

Revolution Home Theater Feature Film Reviews

The Longest Yard
Reviewed By Bill Warren
Rating: Three stars

If you can accept Adam Sandler as a professional football player, youll find
The Longest Yard a lot easier to take than if you dont. In the original
version (the same title), Burt Reynoldswho played college ballhad the lead,
and was a lot more credible than Sandler is here. (Reynolds also turns up in
this version.) But okay, Sandlers no mass of musclesbut hes pretty good in
this movie anyway. More and more, hes being Adam Sandler less and less, which
is a real blessing for those of us who found many of his earlier starring
movies hard to take.

Here, hes Paul Crewe, a former NFL headliner for Philadelphia; when the movie
opens, hes pretty much of a has-been, leeching off his grasping girlfriend (an
unbilled Courtney Cox), making money endorsing products here and there.

Revolution Home Theater Featured DVD Reviews
Read Two More Adam Sandler DVD Reviews on RHT...

Happy Gilmore

Adam Sandler must have enjoyed making Happy Gilmore, because he more or less
remade it two years later as The Waterboy. He dumbed it down (not easy),
broadened the humor and increased the vulgarity. But the most surprising change
is that in Happy Gilmore, the terrible temper of the title character -- played
by Sandler, of course -- is a defect in Happy Gilmore and a virtue in The
Waterboy. This does not represent progress.

If you're an Adam Sandler fan, you've already seen Happy Gilmore, probably many
times. If you're not an Adam Sandler fan, you might be surprised: Happy Gilmore
is quite entertaining; along with The Wedding Singer, this has appeal well
beyond the Sandler fans. The basic story is the classic, timeless "person who
learns better" combined with the underdog story that Sandler has trotted out
every time so far.

Punch Drunk Love

Punch-Drunk Love is a film of such conscientious intensity and oddness that
it develops a weird, unbreakable grip. Somehow, writer/director Paul Thomas
Anderson who usually works on much broader canvases, as with the vast casts
and interwoven themes of Boogie Nights and Magnolia manages to take the
small film love story and turn it into something that feels inventive and
essential. He also brings out the very best in star Adam Sandler, who gets to
display unexpected dramatic chops here simply by putting his outwardly
diffident, inwardly seething screen persona in the service of non-farcical
material.

Sandler plays Barry Egan, who works at a small Los Angeles company that sets up
displays. Barry is outwardly polite if a bit eccentric, but is capable of
terrifying rage. When we meet his seven well-meaning but extremely aggressive
sisters, we understand some of the pressures in his life.
