This is a crazy thing to do after Beta 4. And I think it means I will have to do a Beta 5. But I managed to get a working Qt5 build - by switching to no longer building a 32bit binary.
So instead the new Windows installer is 64bit. But I think it will solve several issues that have come up (the weird printer problem, the look and feel regression with switching back to Qt4, a couple of problems with completers, etc). But for this to be viable it really needs to be tested. By a lot of people on lots of different machines. Windows XP through 8.1. Different localizations, etc. I know many of you are usually on Mac and Linux - but I know that most have you at least have access to a Windows box. So please, take a few minutes and try to take this one through its paces. Including printing, downloading from a divecomputer, accessing the web service and divelogs.de, etc. http://subsurface.hohndel.org/downloads/daily/subsurface-4.1.93-63-g1508f957752a.exe Please report both success and failure. I really want to know how many people have tested this on how diverse a set of platforms. Thanks /D _______________________________________________ subsurface mailing list [email protected] http://lists.hohndel.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/subsurface
