I really don't like this idea. Git compresses the text internally so
300kb in the checkout is nothing. Better to keep the file in the exact

Excellent argument, Anton. I will resubmit.
The file is not the original Poseidon log but an intermediate XML file
for developing the Qt side of things. I hope this will start during next
few weeks. Once the Qt interface and the XSLT filter are finalised this
file will be replaced by the original unformatted divelog.
