Since I know that only a few of you are looking at the user forum, I’ll repeat a suggestion we got there over here in hopes that maybe someone has worked in that area before…
The idea is the ability to export a dive to Facebook. So the user would authenticate Subsurface against the API (I have no idea how that’s done) and then be able to publish a dive in their timeline. Ideally as a picture (the full colorized profile as they have selected on their screen), with the relevant data (when, where, how long, etc) as the post text and the dive notes as a comment (or maybe also in the text). For extra credit, if pictures are associated with the dive, one could create an album with the profile as album cover and the pictures included in the album. I’ll admit that even though I don’t do much on FB, I’d love that capability. Sadly I think Google+ still hasn’t published an API that would allow one to do the same on G+. But having it on Facebook would definitely be neat. So is there anyone who has worked with the FB API? Any idea how hard this would be? I think that exporting a jpg of the profile plus creating the relevant text for the post would be pretty easy… /D _______________________________________________ subsurface mailing list [email protected] http://lists.subsurface-divelog.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/subsurface
