So, from Subsurface point of view, if a dive is marked as PSCR:

#1 PO2 graph on the profile should be plotted according to this formula.
#2 If an oxygen sensor is available from DC, measured PO2 should be
plotted against PO2 graph calculated with Ox drop formula.

There are slightly different approach to Oxygen drop formula
calculation but we could just use the GUE one.
On our mailing list there is leonardo Zillo who wrote a nice Ox drop
calculator based on the latest theories:

it would be nice having his help on this but eventually we could just
use the standard formula used by GUE and UTD.
Anyway this formula requires some info stored into Subsurface
preference tab: OC SAC, Oxygen methabolic consumption and PSCR lung
ratio at least.

Since some nasty PSCR accidents, now GUE and other agencies requires
an Oxygen monitor mounted on the rebreather during training. Divers
are strongly advised to use it after the training too.
I and my buddies have a simple monitor which doesn't log anything but
it is becoming very common to see PSCR divers using Shearwater Petrel
EXT to monitor their PO2.

Bottom line is that for PSCR dives, right now would be nice having
just the Oxygen pressure measured from sensor if available for DC
plotted.

Davide,
A few points:

1) It looks like the existing data structure can handle most or all of the information you mention. One could store measured po2 in data->o2sensor[].mbar, later transfered to plot_data->o2sensor[].mbar. The calculated values following formulas can be stored in in plot_data->pressures.o2. At face value I would not expect any problems.

2) Robert Helling has been involved with writing planning code for PSCR for some time now. I do not know exactly how far he is but I know he is at an advanced stage. If there is any code writing for logging PSCR dives, I would request (almost insist) that he should be part of the initiative so that the PSCR interface is unified.

3) The Poseidon CCR development is coming close to its end for the immediate, the only significant remaining aspect is dealing with bailouts. Dealing with Shearwater is likely to be a follow-up activity, starting development around April. There are a number of challenges to get this done, but maybe the PSCR code could be included in these activities??
Kind regards,
willem
