Dear all,

just joined as a subsurface user and wondered how I get data out of my Aeris
XR1 NX and into Subsurface.
The subsurface website and development logs mention support for this dive
computer but I wasn’t even aware that the Aeris XR1 NX had an export function.

So we get the information on which dive computer we support in large parts
from libdivecomputer. Libdivecomputer claims to support this dive
computer, and that's where all this started. Now interestingly when I do
some searching online, it seems the XR1 doesn't support a download cable
:-/

Jef, can you shed some light on this?

Sure. The Aeris XR1 is an odd device. It has only 1K of memory and contains no logbook or profile ringbuffer. That means it isn't capable of recording any dives and thus you can't download them either. But it does support a PC interface. I suppose it's intended for changing settings, and not for downloading dives. That's why it's listed as supported by libdivecomputer.

The Oceanic Veo 1.0 is another such device.
