Note that the upgrade ID is not relevant for any normal subsurface
behavior. It's actually only relevant if you end up doing an upgrade
from within a VM running Windows and DM5, and you are exporting the
USB devices with USB passthrough into the VM.
Subsurface itself does not know how to do a firmware update, and while
the EON Steel is in its FW update mode and has that 0031 USB ID, it
cannot do anything else.
So the upgrade ID is interesting and real, but it's really outside the
scope of normal subsurface use.
