Don't spend/waste any time at all with the old method it is a Microsoft bug and they have already fixed in a new Windows build version (not released yet). My main reason for posting that was a warning to others and to make people aware so they didn't waste time with it. Also so Dirk could add a note that it is a known issue if he releases another beta or if the Microsoft fix is not released before Subsurface 4.5 final is released. >> Running Bluetooth log view software I can see the correct mac address >> of the dive computer shown when it comes into range of the laptop. >I will do some investigation and I hope that I will find out why the Bluetooth >address is not converted correctly. That would be great as it seems to be the main issue. I'm happy to try any test/debug builds if it makes it easier with the problem. >> >> When doing the scan, where is it getting the mac address for the >> devices from and/or storing it? >The Bluetooth address is stored in a QBluetoothDeviceInfo object and saved as >user data to QListWidgetItem items. Ok so it probably just the scan is not picking up the correct address. I just had an idea to find your original version that I tried as I had deleted it a while ago. I went back through old emails and found your dropbox link and re-downloaded and I can confirm that that version after doing a scan shows the correct addresses. So I can confirm that something has been broken from your dropbox version (1329) to the current daily build(s) that Dirk does. >> What is the button with the ellipse next to ellipsis (3 dots) next to >> the device or mount point drop-box supposed to do? >I believe that it does a search for a Uemis dive computer or something like >that. >Cheers, >Claudiu Cheers, Steve _______________________________________________ subsurface mailing list [email protected] http://lists.subsurface-divelog.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/subsurface
