I tried Fedora 20 which is no longer receiving security updates, but
it's only two years old, so this should be well within reason.
The other thing to try would be Ubuntu 12.04 LTS - that's from April 2012
and still supported (10.04 LTS strangely is already end of life - I guess I
don't quite understand Ubuntu's definition of "LTS").
Similarly, CentOS 5
