Can we try to in general respond in-line and not top post? I know that I'm occasionally guilty of doing this when I'm on my phone, but please try to keep the conversation easy to parse...

Yes, the fact that the desktop version tells you about the lack of a GPS source is indeed unintentional and I'll turn that off once I'm done getting things to build again... > Its a niggle rather than an issue, but on the current daily build, you have > to acknowledge the message every time you open it. Technically you don't :-) You can simply leave the message alone. But yes. I'll deal with it. > On 18 December 2015 13:15:16 GMT+00:00, John Smith <[email protected]> > wrote: >> Latest stable release is 4.5.3 and the latest daily is 4.5.2.463 Yes. Versions aren't linear. 4.5.3 branched off of master at 4.5.1 (== 4.5.2). So master has seen 463 commits since then, 4.5.3 only contains a few dozen of them. In the past I tended to try to merge back the stable branch into master simply to avoid this confusion. I guess I could do that again. >> With regards the gps, surely the gps message should then only show on >> subsurface-mobile not the desktop version > > USB GPS dongle? Actually, there are a lot of 2-in-1 laptops out there (and even traditional laptops) that have built in GPS. But still, you are unlikely to have those with you on the dive boat :-) /D _______________________________________________ subsurface mailing list [email protected] http://lists.subsurface-divelog.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/subsurface
