Yes, this is the next step. Right now I'm still battling with the Apple 
Development Center to allow me to upload the build. I can archive things and 
they appear to work on a device that has its ID explicitly added to the 
provisioning profile. But all attempts to upload the archive to iTunes Connect 
so far have failed with the most bizarre error messages.

So I'm trying to do two things: have a few people test this and at the same 
time figure out why iTunes Connect hates me.
