I see still see something weird (Arch Linux). Wiht the appImage (with Qt 5.9.1), cloud interfacing works correctly, but logging in to Facebook simply loops, asking for the passwd again, and no message over a failed passwd. As I hardly use this feature, I tried to login on my self build version (Qt 5.9.2). Logs in correctly to Facebook (including a small message in the bottom of the window (FB successfully logged in).

Simon figured out a fix for this. Can you test the latest AppImage again? It now appears to
work fine on ArchLinux and openSUSE Leap 42.3 as well.

You can always get the latest at https://github.com/Subsurface-divelog/subsurface/releases/tag/continuous which is convenient - no more links to specific versions that are outdated the next time I trigger a build... (but then, of course, it makes sense to mention the SHA when reporting... the latest
right now is Subsurface-988d5bc-x86_64.AppImage)

Hi,

just tested on openSUSE Leap 42.3, and I get the following error:
./Subsurface-5196b46-x86_64.AppImage: symbol lookup error: /lib64/libssl.so.1.0.0: undefined symbol: OPENSSL_init_library

Thanks to @probono (dang, Simon, I took your commits without SOB... that's wrong :-( ) we now have a working (I think) AppImage again. Even better, we get that AppImage as part of
the Travis CI run after every push / merge in the repo.

WAY COOL.

At any point of time, the latest test build can be found at
https://github.com/Subsurface-divelog/subsurface/releases/tag/continuous

Before I announce this to the world (and make a 4.7.3 release that includes an AppImage I would really ask as many of you as possible (those with access to Linux systems) to try
the AppImage and report back which Linux distro you tried this with.

I have tested Ubuntu 17.04 and everything seems to work. Facebook, print, map, BT,
cloud storage... all the typically problematic areas.

I have also tested on Arch Linux and there I get OpenSSL problems:
https://github.com/Subsurface-divelog/subsurface/issues/779

Can we get some testing on Fedora (especially if you have older versions around somewhere), Debian, Ubuntu, openSUSE, Mint, PCLinux, etc? And if you had a chance to test, would you please respond to this email with success / failure reports? That way
we'll have at least some idea how "universal" that AppImage really is...

Thanks
