So Shearwater is not going to win any awards for their Bluetooth implementation,
that seems pretty sure.
Through literally several dozen tries and reboots and random sequences, I got my
old BT-only Mac to connect with the Petrel 2 in order to do a Firmware update to
the latest (53).
I then finally got Android to connect at all. This is in no cloud mode, empty
log file:
