Possible? Of course.
Is this the right thing to do? I'm not sure. For the vast majority of people
this is something that would take aways screen real estate for something they'd
never use (and in order to be usable, these two buttons would have to be pretty
big).
I realize that the pinch zoom really sucks, the implementation isn't great at
all. Unfortunately I appear to be the only person working on the QML part of
the code (and have been for a while)... and I'm not sure I know enough to make
it better.
I'll add this to my "list of issues to work on" and see if I can come up with
something that makes it objectively better - without wasting screen space on
+/- buttons.
