Description: EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY for a senior level C# Winforms Developer for a 4 month+ position in New York City. If you feel your background is a good fit for the requirement below, then please email your resume to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Responsibilities include: ** Design and develop all applications along with required documentation to meet the Requirement Specifications approved by the business unit. ** Deploy winforms/desktop systems to various production and pre-production environments and troubleshoot issues ** Adhere to IT standard software development processes and architecture for software work products. ** Provide on-going third tier technical support for all applications to meet the Service Level Agreement standards. ** Create technical documentation such as design documents, specifications, and software architecture documents ** Develop and continually improve an overall Application Architecture based on the portfolio of applications within IT and the current and anticipated business requirements. ** Identify the requirements for and participate in the selection of development and software engineering tools and processes. ** Perform design and code walkthroughs with other developers according to documented policies, procedures, and standards. ** Analyze design and architectural issues and questions ** Follow up with issues in an efficient manner, including working hand in hand with Quality Assurance, Project Management and/or Business Analysis. ** Regularly communicate project progress, issues, and risks to project manager. Experience Requirements: ** 7+ years in Software Development preferably in large scale commercial enterprise projects. (Development experience for financial desktop products will also be considered) ** Experience in design, develop, and maintenance of commercial Winforms applications using C#.NET ** Proficiency in the design, development, and maintenance of SQL database schemas and scripts, including views, triggers and stored procedures. (Knowledge of SQL Server Compact Edition used in non-mobile applications a plus) ** Candidate must show a proven track record of creating stable N-tier applications and be able to work in a very fast paced environment. ** Experience with 3rd party tool integration (e.g. TxtEditor) ** Proficient knowledge in desktop system architecture and database design ** XML parsing experience ** Excellent knowledge of different operating systems in relation to desktop applications (Windows XP and Vista in relation to desktop applications a must) ** Knowledge of Installshield or Microsoft msi for application installation a major plus ** Ability to estimate, plan, lead and execute complex technical projects. ** Demonstrated ability to obtain and apply domain area knowledge quickly. ** Excellent learning and communication skills. ** Understanding and experience with SDLC ** Experience building high-performance web applications.
