  We have not been able to find the right candidates for our client in Winston 
Salem NC for the opening we worked on 2 weeks ago.  The position is still open 
and we would like to try to provide more candidates.  6 month initial contract 
that could easily go through 2009.  Our client will hire off a phone screen.  
The main thing we missed on was leadership and client facing skills.  We're 
looking for someone with excellent communication, extensive experience working 
with clients, and lead experience.  Please send any candidates that meet these

    SQL SERVER DBA with 7 - 10 years experience 
Work experience should include SQL 2005 as well as SQL 2000 


" Bachelors in Engineering or Computer science and 7 - 10 years of experience 
in database engineering disciplines or a combination of equivalent education 
and work experience. 
" Demonstrated ability to lead a team of engineering professionals. 
" Advanced knowledge of and experience in logical and relational database 
modeling/design, database administration, and data platform tools and 
techniques, and database optimization and tuning for performance/availability. 
" Significant experience tuning and optimizing large scale, complex databases. 
" Experience with stored procedures and other data integration patterns 

Clustering experience and replication a plus 

1. 15% - Design Technical Solutions 
Work on highly complex projects to gather requirements then design specialty 
solutions for databases 
2. 15% - Lead Technology Solutions 
Takes leadership role in the implementation of highly complex database projects 
which require collaboration across organization. Assigns work to team. 
3. 10% - Consulting 
Serve as subject matter expert on cross-org project teams to give advice on 
highly complex data-related solutions. Discuss problems or needs with 
customers, CIO leads or peer groups. Understand requirements and needs. Develop 
and document solutions including design papers, configurations and costs and 
lead implementations as necessary 
4. 10% - Innovation and Industry Leadership 
Research industry solutions and apply learning to drive innovation. 
5. 10% - Lead Tech Strategy and Direction 
Develop technology strategies and standards for database engineering. 
6. 10% - Mentoring Database engineers 
Mentors database engineers in area. Consults with them on their development and 
provides input to the manager for performance reviews. 
7. 10% - Architecture Development 
Lead the architecture and development of data solutions 
8. 10% - Optimization 
Lead team to discover and implement cross organizational system efficiency 
improvements to insure database performance and stability. 
9. 5%- Leadership of Standards 
Lead the definition and communication of standards. 
10. 5% - Other duties as assigned
