While this is listed as a database administration position, the key focus here is someone who has a lot of database *development* skills. This will include a strong knowledge using TSQL as well as SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) and SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services). Query performance tuning. Someone who can start as soon as possible and someone who can hit the ground running. I would say that this person should have excellent organizational skills as well as *very strong* *communication*, as they will be working directly with other non-IT business members and end users. This challenging opportunity is for candidates desiring to improve overall performance of the databases. *Essential duties and responsibilities:* Designs, implements and maintains a complex MS SQL Server database environment. Consults and works with the developers, and associates to resolve application or data conflicts. Works with management to develop strategies to support the organization's objectives. Responsible for quality control, auditing and security of databases to ensure accurate and appropriate use of resources and data. Performance tuning Create ETL processes to process data using SQL Server tools such as DTS or IIS Writing complex T-SQL (stored procedures, queries, etc) *Job qualifications and requirements:* · Thorough working knowledge of MS IIS, SQL Server 2000/2005, and Windows 2000/2003. · Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to effectively exchange ideas and information and effectively relate to others in order to accomplish work responsibilities, and strong troubleshooting skills. · Ability to work in a 24x7 support environment and to communicate and work effectively in a team environment. A minimum of one-year full time DBA experience is required. PHP and VBScript are a plus.
