Job Title: Software Tester Location: Tumwater, WA Contract Duration: December 22, 2008 - June 30, 2009 (possible extensions) Job Description: This position serves as an IT Software Tester within with specialized knowledge and expertise in IT software testing methodology. Software tester duties on this project may include: - Independently plan, manage and execute the testing of the developed software, - Learn the documentation tools used by our client (specifically Case Complete). - Utilizes expert knowledge of testing techniques and methodologies to manage and execute functional software testing. - Assist Business Units with User Acceptance Testing, business system requirements gathering, analysis and design, IT system development, and IT system implementation and integration to ensure that customer requirements are met and that projects are completed on time, within budget and are consistent with IT standards. Specific duties include: - Interact and consult with the Project Manager, developers, and Business Units concerning testing status, bugs, and requirements clarifications. - Works with clients in conjunction with the Project Manager to gain an understanding of the business needs that the clients are seeking to fulfill with the development effort. - Responsible for the development of a test plan. - Responsible for the development and execution of manual test cases and scripts. - Responsible for the documentation and communication regarding bugs found during testing to the Project Manager and developers. - Manage project bug tracking and resolution processes so that a consistent, documented process is used and followed. - Promote an open environment of cooperation. - Maintain open channels of communication between team and management. Documentation of work to include: - Test Plan - Test Scripts - Traceability Matrices - Problem Tracking Reports/status - Customer Acceptance Document (template to be provided) - Other project related documentation as required by the IT Project Manager Skills Required: The contractor is expected to have demonstrated skills in the following: The following working experience and/or demonstrated skills are mandatory: - 6 years+ experience in IT Software Testing Thanks !!
