Position: SAP Portal Content Administrator Location: St. Louis, MO Duration: 6+ months LOCALS CANDIDATES PREFERRED, WILL REQUIRE A F2F INTERVIEW IN ST.LOUIS Peabody is in need of a SAP consultant in the Enterprise Portal area (version 7), who could function in the capacity of a Portal Content Administrator. Job Summary: Responsible for working with business and technical staff to evaluate and implement appropriate technologies to successfully complete tasks related to planning, designing, building, and maintaining web sites and applications. Initially, the emphasis will be on implementing content management and collaboration tools for the employee portal. The candidate will work under general supervision, to successfully perform a variety of complicated tasks. Responsibilities: 1. Design and construct the company employee portal, including graphic user interface features and other techniques; work with the appropriate resources to develop graphics and design components 2. Implement and maintain the content infrastructure to support departmental and team initiatives, working with other business and technical staff to deliver effective solutions. 3. Plan and review site architecture for new web site products and features; perform research on a wide range of tools, vendors, and solutions 4. Collaborate with business and technical analyst(s) in determining scope and specifications for projects 5. Consult with internal customers and other project team members to develop technical specifications for the department’s internal web sites 6. Improve efficiency and designs the look and feel for the sites, with direction from department design staff and collaborating with vendors, contract staff, or consultants as appropriate 7. Effectively utilize in-depth knowledge of programming, including but not limited to HTML and JavaScript. 8. Basic understanding of database connectivity, QA standards, policies, and procedures, and infrastructure 9. Accept maintenance and change requests, communicating to the appropriate personnel expected timeframes and deliverables, for department web sites Minimum Qualifications: 1. College degree with specialization in information technology or equivalent work experience. 2. 3 years experience in progressive levels of responsibility related to web site design, content management, and maintenance. 3. Requires substantial creativity and responsibility for wide influence on decision-making related to initiatives and implementation of projects 4. Strong technical skills. 5. Strong communication skills. 6. Strong problem solving skills. 7. Moderate Project Management skills. Additional Qualifications Preferred: 1. Intranet-specific web development experience 2. J2EE skills and Applications Server knowledge desirable 3.. SAP Enterprise Portal v 7.0 experience 4. SAP Portals iViews, pages, worksets and roles 5. Enterprise Portal components utilizing the SAP Portal Development Kit 6. Experience with NetWeaver Developer Studio, Web Page Composer 7.
