Title: Wireless Lab Tech with Linux Location: Santa Clara, CA Contract Duration: 3 months + Project Description: Testing and debugging Wireless WiFi, BlueTooth, GPS, and WiMax setups. Test experience on wireless devices (RF test) highly desired. Software experience in Linux especially desirable. Experience in installing software drivers, debugging, and test automation. Ability to ramp up quickly and learn how to program test instruments. Ability to analyze and present data and document test procedures. Ideal candidate would have software experience in both Linux, and Vista operating systems. Also experience in loading BIOS, upgrading operating systems and installing multiple OS's on PCs. Daily Responsibilities: Test equipment set up, collect and analyze data, debug software drivers, possibly porting of software (e.g. porting SW driver from Cardbus interface to SDIO interface) % of travel required: 0-10% Necessary Skills: BSEE (desired) or technician 2 year degree (minimum) 1) Hands on wireless device comms testing (RF testing, data throughput performance, power consumption) 2) Experience in using Linux. Programming experience very desirable 3) Experience in both Vista and Linux operating systems, ability to configure PCs, maintain BIOS, etc 4) Experience in networking (e.g. using TCIP, IP address, making connections between devices) 5) Proficient in English communication and writing skills Additional Skills Desired: WiMax hardware or software, Chariot software testing, automated instrumentation automation Years of Experience & Expertise Level: 5-7 yrs Mid level or senior Thanks !!
