Trained or experienced in the SAP software product and ASAP methodology preferred EXEMPT POSITION DESCRIPTION POSITION TITLE: Business Analyst, Configurator – Purchasing/MM ORGANIZATION (DEPT): GIS Solutions Management Group REVISION DATE: Nov 2008 REPORTS TO (TITLE/S): PST Process Team Leader for Procure to Pay DIRECT REPORT/S (TITLE/S): POSITION SUMMARY: Procure to Pay Configuration / Design Analyst specializing in purchasing and materials management including a deep understanding of the Direct Procurement Process leveraging contract management and workflow functionality. Knowledge of ECC Outline Agreements, Purchase Orders, and Accounts Payable needed. Focus will be on configuring and troubleshooting SAP to support a center-lead global sourcing model and a shared services Accounts Payable model. Knowledge of the Enterprise Portal and Supplier Self Service (SUS) processes and technology also important. The Business Analyst / Configurator is assigned to a business process team to focus on end to end business process design and SAP configuration. The Business Analyst, Configurator will work closely with the Business Process Leads to define the SMI solution for our client. This position will report to the PST Process Team Leader. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: * Participate in business process design and incorporate requirements of our client's business/geographies into a "common SMI design" * Participate and contribute to the successful completion of all deliverables associated with their process team, e.g., Business Process Procedures, Configuration Scripts and Functional Specifications.. * Determine how business reporting requirements will be delivered by SAP functionality. * Align our client's business requirements and processes with the "vanilla" SAP business process model * Validate the SAP fit to client's business requirements.
