SCOPE:
This position will work with a team of web designers, developers, multimedia
production specialists, usability engineers and content providers to develop
web products.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop creative concepts and visual designs for a wide range of web
initiatives
Integrate and enhance the architecture, UI and navigation outlined
Lead coordination with all groups, especially with the creative management
group, directing how final art is visually implemented
Make sure visual design communicates and functions successfully for varying
technical and performance specifications
Contribute to the accurate definition of project scope, estimates and timelines
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 4 years experience designing and producing visual and creative concepts
for a wide range of interactive applications
Strong design aesthetic/understanding, an eye for typography, color, layout and
detail
Understanding of design software specifically: Photoshop, Image Ready,
Fireworks and Illustrator
Strong understanding of information design
Knowledge of Dreamweaver, CSS preferred
Knowledge of HTML programming, capabilities of browsers and design constraints
of the Web
Strong cognitive skills, including problem solving, decision making and
analysis
Ability to work alone or part of a team
Ability to multi-task, manage multiple projects at one time, and meet tight
deadlines
